It snowed here in Athens this past Friday and it was lovely. Experiencing snow here in Georgia is so different than how it was when we lived in Denver. Here- because it’s so rare- EVERYONE gets out to play in it. No matter your age, it’s like your inner child just races out to build a snowman or have a snowball fight (both things we did.) In Denver it was calmer and quieter (or frantic as you raced for the slopes) but most everyone was used to it and knew it would last, so there was less need to rush outside. It’s amazing how perspective shifts based on your experiences.
Speaking of perspectives and experiences, this stunner- inspired by the happiness and freedom of childhood games- is heading to Spotlight on Art next week!
If you’ve been wanting to see this painting (and more of my work) up close and personal, now’s your chance. 💙
