Just a funny story to start off the weekend

So my husband and I have a schedule when it comes to our dog- I will get up and take her out every morning if he promises to do the same every night. This morning was no different. Bella started running up to the side of the bed to see if I was awake yet/wake me up and after about 5 minutes of a cold nose being jammed into my arm, I finally gave in and got out of bed. I contemplated just wearing my pajamas downstairs to take her out, but it was just late enough that I assumed most people would be heading off to work (and it was cold) so I decided to switch out my plaid PJ pants for jeans.

During this whole time J is already up and getting ready to leave for his shadowing and asks if I'll wait so he can walk out with me. Bella isn't too thrilled at waiting, but we do, and within 5 minutes we are walking outside as a happy little family.

I kiss J bye, watch him drive away, and as soon as the puppy is content and ready to go back inside we walk up to our back door.

It's locked.

and I don't have my keys.

And J. won't be back for a few hours.

I don't think I have ever run so quickly in flip flops with the dog by my side. I know our neighbors probably thought I was crazy, but luckily at the stop sign my husband happens to look in the rear view mirror and see me and the dog racing after him and stops so I can get his key.

Crisis averted.

talk about getting a morning workout :)

I hope everyone else has had a fantastic Friday morning and that you all have a great weekend! Trying to convince J. to go on a mini road trip, so I'll let you know Monday how that went!
