J and I decided to get away last week (was it last week? Working from home I rarely really know what day it is anymore. Wait! It was on my dad's birthday. That was last Wednesday. So yep, last week. Back to the point though because that tidbit doesn't really matter...) so we packed up the car and the pup and headed to Aspen for the night. On the way there (it takes like 4 hours to get there so we had some time) we decided to take a break and hike to Hanging Lake. Yes, I'm aware normal people rarely stop just to hike a "few miles", but holy cow it was worth it. And I don't try to pretend that I'm super normal anyhow, so, yea. Of course, after the hike we drove a few more miles to Glenwood Springs and stopped at Grind Burger- which was a heavenly (grilled burger + a bag of delicious fries) experience.
