I was going to say “teaching an old dog new tricks” but 1) I’m not old (I can’t even say middle aged because I hope I at LEAST make it to my eighties and I’m not even 40 yet) and 2) This isn’t exactly a new trick.

Note to self: remember to wear gloves. (Just call me Violet Beauregarde, I guess.)

This moment right here- where I get to see someone experiencing my work in real time- is one of my most favorite things. The studio gets quiet and if you listen closely you almost always hear the deep inhale that comes at the start of really LOOKING

It’s funny how when I get really busy/really into work and life, social media kind of gets put on the back burner (which ironically makes it seem like “nothing” is going on.) Anyhow, I’m still here- working on projects, hostin

I normally wake up right after my husband gets out of the shower, but today I woke up just a few seconds after him and found him quietly replacing the space he was just lying in with pillows. I asked him what he was doing and he said,

"I do this every morning. I never want you to feel alone."

I melted right then and there.
