Meeting online

I love how the Internet can connect you with such amazing people that you may not have had the opportunity to meet otherwise. For me, one of those people is CJ Lotz. As an editor and writer living in Charleston, we very well may have never crossed paths if it wasn’t for Instagram. But luckily, I stumbled across her profile and hit “follow.” Every day since I’ve been given a glimpse into her life- and y’all, she rocks. Her daily quarantine art displays are reason enough to follow her if you don’t already.

And speaking of those art displays, I opened Instagram this morning to find that CJ included one of my black and white ink pieces in today’s arrangement. I can’t find the exact words to say this, but know that it is incredibly humbling and overwhelming (in the best way) whenever I see my work in someone’s space. That you all welcome my paintings into your homes- your personal sanctuaries- is a tremendous honor that I do not take lightly. .
