From the Studio: Altitude Design Summit Photo Recap

I started writing a recap of this past week's Altitude Design Summit when I realized that words wouldn't really do it justice. The friends I made, the colleagues I met, and the lessons I learned will stick with me forever. (A special emphasis on the friends. I met some of the most amazing people!) If you ever have an opportunity to go to ALT, I'd strongly suggest you do- I promise it will be amazing. And since I didn't think words would suffice, here is a photo recap:

Thursday night White Party (so pretty to see everyone in winter-y colors)

Friday night mini parties ranged from A Night in Paris to Year of the Chinese Dragon

I loved teaching my watercolor class! I seriously had the best students ever. (It started to snow so we ran outside to get a few photos.)

holy cow we got a lot of cool stuff. Not pictured- awesome triangle earrings that one of my roomies, Kelly, fell in love with, and like a pound of candy.

have a wonderful (Easter) weekend!

This week has been a tough one so I for one am thrilled today is Friday! We have a formal event tonight so I finally have a chance to wear an amazing 70's dress of my grandmother's* and then fingers crossed that the rest of the weekend will be incredibly relaxing. Speaking of the weekend, it's Easter weekend and the blog-o-sphere has been filled with amazing ideas and crafts. Since we won't be able to be with either set of our parents this weekend, we've been tossing around the idea of having people over for a casual Sunday lunch (with ham! you have to have ham on Easter.) We'll see how the weekend goes, but if we end up doing this I may have to create a few of these ideas.

Who says egg hunts are just for kids? Make it a party with cereal and glitter. I love this idea!

According to my sister, the farmer's market is apparently out of white eggs as people get ready for egg hunts. Given that we're not hard boiled egg fans anyhow, these are a perfect substitute.

With this, all of your eggs could be golden- no Veruca Salt tantrum necessary.

I need to make these- Hot Cross Buns. (now I have the recorder song stuck in my head, but I only know "hot cross buns, hot cross buns" so the rest is made up of humming.)

I remember reading a book about painting eggs when I was younger, but can't remember the name. Either way, these remind me of that book. Aren't they gorgeous?

Wedding season is upon us. Someone please make these favors

And just something good to read- 50 ways to cope with stress

Have a wonderful Easter weekend everyone! I hope it's relaxing, fun, and filled with sunshine and good memories!

*And again, thank you for your prayers and kind thoughts for my grandmother. As of now, she is in a rehab center recovering and trying to get her strength back. I'll keep you all updated.
