Honey and Blues

I've never been much of a honey fan (probably because I don't really like tea...), but I absolutely love the color of it! Mix that with the beautiful blue night skies of summer and you have the recipe for an absolutely beautiful wedding. I tried to stick with the fun and playfulness of a golden yellow, but glam it up a bit with spicy browns and a sky full of dark navys and indigos. Enjoy!

Espresso and Cream

Chocolate brown is already such a dramatic color, but paired with various shades of cream it becomes even more luxurious and stunning. This board was inspired by a table Emily over at Once Wed posted about- Joy's centerpiece was absolutely breathtaking! I loved how she incorporated everything from candles and branches, to linen and crystals. This wedding would be perfect for the hopelessly romantic couple wanting to evoke a lot of glamour and romance to their party, esp if it was held in a place like this.

Gold, Shell, and Mist

With the weather finally starting to turn around here in Atlanta, I decided this was the perfect board to post. I was immediately intrigued with the top photo and wanted to create a wedding inspired by it. A wedding that captured the colors of the beach in the morning; grayish misty blues, the whites of bleached shells on the beach, the creams of the sand and of course the various golds created by reflected sunlight on the water. Hope you enjoy!

Outdoor Celebrations

When the weather starts to warm up there is nothing I crave more than to go outside! What's even better is an outdoor party with homemade goodies, relaxed conversation and sparkling drinks. I love how beautiful a space can become with hundreds of candles, lanterns, and twinkling lights, not to mention the amazing colors that are created with those types of lighting! On that note, I thought I would put together a board focused just on that type of celebration. Enjoy!

*Throughout the week I will post pictures of weddings that remind me of the same feeling and could easily mesh with this kind of party!

Pastel Wedding

I always loved dyeing eggs and with Easter right around the corner I thought I would bring back those memories with a Easter egg inspired board. I focused on a huge variety of pastel colors (just like what you would find with an egg hunt!) and a very family focused dinner. Lots of homemade items (like the pastel cupcakes) and fun vintage prom inspired bridesmaids dresses (anyone else remembering tons of white tulle, pastel sashes and socks trimmed with lace? Thought so :) ) Just like brunch on Easter Sunday, this wedding would be an incredibly laid back occasion (think handpicked bouquets) where everyone pitched in before the celebration. And does anyone remember the potluck picnics held after church? Where you bring something according to your last name? That would be such a cute idea with a wedding like this!*

Enjoy!

* I am now craving breakfast casserole and pecan pie :) Two staples I could always count on at the church picnic!

Paris Je T'aime

Paris has to be one of my favorite places in the entire world. I love the fashion, the pastries, the art... everything. It's just such a fun place to be and there is never. ever. a dull moment. Favorite place ever was Montmartre. It's the last village of Paris where Renoir, Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso all lived in late 19th/early 20th century and its streets are still filled with amazing artists displaying their artwork. Maybe that's why I loved it so much, it felt like home :)

On that note, I designed this board based off of my love for Paris and the type of feeling I think wedding there would have. A carefree elegance with a lot of cream, gold and navy accents- and of course amazing breads and pastries.
