Birch Wedding

I got a message from one of my favorite college roommates* a few days ago saying that she'd had a dream that she got married and there were birch trees all around and thought it would be a good idea for me to write a post about. Well I couldn't agree more! I love birch trees. The bark is so beautiful and I love the clean lines of the trees. I think it's the perfect touch to incorporate into a fall or winter wedding and am so happy S decided to tell me about her dream. Hopefully this board will do it justice!

*Not only is she just an awesome person, but we also took the same studio art classes together all summer long so I really got to know her better. We had only known each other for a semester when we decided to live together that summer but both wanted to stay in Athens for the summer so we just went for it and found an apt to sublease. Guess it was a little risky, and I can only speak on my part, but I'm happy we took the risk because she was such an awesome roommate! Now she's studying to be a nurse and I am so proud of her! She's going to do such an amazing job at it.

Halloween Wrap Up

Sorry for skipping out yesterday- time just ran away from me! The costumes got a dress rehearsal (pre-halloween costume party) Tuesday night and were a HUGE success. As over the top as it might be, there is something very cool about wearing a sparkly dress and now I am hooked. I'll share pictures next week.

With Halloween tomorrow, everyone seems to be posting unique invites, tablescapes etc etc. and I thought I would show you some of my favorites from the past few days:

I love the string around the finger invite. Really creeps me out, but super original. The skeleton one is just fun- plus I really like black envelopes. Oh and look at that bar setup! I think dry ice would be a cool addition to bring in some fog!

I need to make these. I love apples and I love candy so I don't think anything can hold me back :) Aren't the black ones so Snow White-ish?!

and lastly, if you're going to have a wedding the day after Halloween, why not go all out. See here for the gorgeous pictures and don't forget to look at the vintage Halloween wedding Style Me Pretty just posted!

Teal and Tangerine

Happy Monday Everyone! Even though it seems as though it will never stop rainy, I can't get bright cheerful colors out of my head. I especially love all of the natural and handmade touches of this board- from the kraft paper table numbers (with a light spray of gold) to the wooden welcome card holder- everything is carefree and rustic (in the most beautiful of ways!) Hope you enjoy!

Monday Inspiration #1

How is it already the middle of August? I can't believe how quickly time flies. In just a few months the leaves will change, we'll be huddled around bon fires, and thankfully, it will start to cool down! Fall has always been my favorite season (how could it not? Cute clothes, Thanksgiving, crisp air and college football!) so I thought I would post something to get you in the mood for autumn. And how beautiful is that ceiling of lights? Maybe it's just me, but there is always something magical about cafe lights.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic day!

Garden Parties

It has been really really hot here for the past few days so in an attempt to remember the cooler days of spring, I thought I would post this board! I especially love the ceremony site. The way the sherbet colored flowers and greenery pop against the clean white palette is just beautiful! Hope you enjoy!
