I found this board yesterday and fell in love with the various purples and whites. I might be a little biased since one of my pieces is in it, but I think that is out weighed by the fact that I'm not normally a purple fan. It's amazing to see how other people view my work, though! When I painted that piece it was part of a multicolored collection, and seemed very vibrant and colorful. Here though, it seems very calm and subtle. Think I'm digging it's multiple "personalities!"
I love this! I think it would be really cool in a small room, a powder room, or just to line the back of a bookcase.

One of my best friends loves hydrangeas. They are her favorite flower (much like me, she doesn't really care for bouquets of roses) so when I saw this, I automatically thought of her. Isn't this lovely? Simple, classic, and clean.

I don't need these, but something in me really (really) wants them. Could you imagine getting these cleaned and disinfected though? Eh. I don't care. They rock and would look beautiful on my counter.

I just might have to risk the possible finger tip burns (the combination of hot glue, little buttons, and thread sounds dangerous to me) and try my hand at making these!

This weekend J. and I helped his mom pick out new bathroom light fixtures and while browsing the internet for vanity lights, I may or may not have gotten side tracked by the huge selection of beautiful chandeliers available. The silver and glass one? Awesome. And even though I'm not a big fan of anything brass- the lines of the top one are really really cool. I think I could handle having that in our house!
There is just something special about a chandelier- whether it's in a dining room, the foyer, or a bathroom, they always make a statement.

I completely forgot about the time change this past weekend. With the time difference already messing with me all day Saturday, I completely forgot to change our clocks. Normally wouldn't be a big deal, except we had a birthday party for our friend's daughter (she turned one!) I was talking to my mom on the phone when my cell started to mess up and I had to hang up. For some reason, I decided to check the time on my phone as opposed to my bedside clock and I saw that the party was to start in 10 minutes.
I thought it was starting in an hour and 10 minutes.
My hair was still wet, I was in my robe, and our friends live 40 minutes away.
To say the least, I've never gotten dressed and wrapped a gift so quickly :)
