Yellow

color inspiration: tomato, turquoise, and retro yellow

primary colors gone technicolor. I love how cheerful and bright these colors are together! And since they aren't the normal shades of red, blue and yellow the overall look exudes a nostalgic vintage feeling rather than that of an elementary school pencil box. (Though I do have a pretty awesome Ninja Turtle pencil box so I'm not judging here.)

Eclectic Wedding

An array of different flowers, colors, and patterns isn't for everyone, but if it is, then this board is for you! It's inspired by a pillow I found at Anthropologie as well as one of my best friends who is getting married in Charleston. Hope you enjoy!

A little sunshine

via here

I saw this while I was in Anthropologie last weekend and fell in love with how delicate and refreshing it is. And as one of those whose skin tone inhibits me from actually wearing clothes in the color, this necklace would completely satisfy my yellow cravings. Wouldn't this be such a beautiful way to dress up a white T and jeans?*And surprisingly, it's not super expensive.

Well, for Anthro at least :)

*I would love to see a bride rock this. It's a great example of buying accessories you can wear after the big day.

Citrus Pop

I love wedding and parties that combine all the warm colors together, and think it is even better when pops of citrus appear throughout the day! Hope you enjoy (and happy Thursday!)

Honey and Blues

I've never been much of a honey fan (probably because I don't really like tea...), but I absolutely love the color of it! Mix that with the beautiful blue night skies of summer and you have the recipe for an absolutely beautiful wedding. I tried to stick with the fun and playfulness of a golden yellow, but glam it up a bit with spicy browns and a sky full of dark navys and indigos. Enjoy!

Pastel Wedding

I always loved dyeing eggs and with Easter right around the corner I thought I would bring back those memories with a Easter egg inspired board. I focused on a huge variety of pastel colors (just like what you would find with an egg hunt!) and a very family focused dinner. Lots of homemade items (like the pastel cupcakes) and fun vintage prom inspired bridesmaids dresses (anyone else remembering tons of white tulle, pastel sashes and socks trimmed with lace? Thought so :) ) Just like brunch on Easter Sunday, this wedding would be an incredibly laid back occasion (think handpicked bouquets) where everyone pitched in before the celebration. And does anyone remember the potluck picnics held after church? Where you bring something according to your last name? That would be such a cute idea with a wedding like this!*

Enjoy!

A Garden Party

Created by Chelsea Fuss (and found on Once Wed) I immediately fell in love with this simple table scape from the moment I first saw it. With the weather here flip flopping between the beautiful 70's one day and snow the next, I would love to kick off the warm weather (whenever it decides to come back) with a simple dinner party decorated like this. Doesn't it remind you of the board I created a few days ago (with that awesome yellow and white party dress)?

Not only is the table beautiful, I absolutely love how Chelsea tied in family style dining by including bottles of lemonade and laid back wild flower arrangements. Nothing stuffy about this party :) Oh, and did I mention it is all very easy to DIY and relatively inexpensive? For more info, read here. Here's to hoping for warm weather! Enjoy!
