I've had this image in my inspiration folder for awhile- waiting until the perfect morning to share. Give that today's Super Tuesday and I'm about to go wait in long lines to vote, I decided today was the day for a calming, peaceful, and serene color palette. Hope you enjoy! (These colors always remind me of the early morning- just when the sun decides to peek through and brighten everything up.)

I have a soft spot for old books. The yellowing pages, the softened colors, the smells- it's all very comforting to me. So when I saw this photo by Cassia Beck on seesaw, I knew I wanted to create a board based around it. The colors remind me of a lazy sunny day- maybe one accompanied with a picnic in the park or a nap in the sunshine after reading a good book in a hammock.

primary colors gone technicolor. I love how cheerful and bright these colors are together! And since they aren't the normal shades of red, blue and yellow the overall look exudes a nostalgic vintage feeling rather than that of an elementary school pencil box. (Though I do have a pretty awesome Ninja Turtle pencil box so I'm not judging here.)
